It was fantastic to get away from the craziness of grad school for just a day and enjoy nice weather at the Charleston beach. I’d trade worrying about the academic madness to worrying about the seagulls flying overhead any day . . . The time was just wonderful–a much needed break, and it was a gorgeous day.
Enjoy the album!
Had a wonderful day with this lovely girl! Enjoy!
A bit of Color/B&W contrast:
Recently I’ve been on a headshot kick (probably because I have a plethora of fine arts friends). Below is a sampling of several head shots from a few different shoots–some using natural light–some using artificial. Enjoy.
This particular shoot was somewhat of a new experience for me as I used artificial light exclusively. I think getting the lighting just right (or workable) took longer than the shoot itself. But I have to say, I’m very happy with the product.
David is a good friend of mine, and brilliant thespian, who is currently making a name for himself in the Greenville theatre arts community (and one day folks, he’s going to make it huge on the national scene–just you wait and see). If you’re in town you may have recently seen him in Centre Stage’s thriller, Angel Street, as the suave Jack Manningham. Look for him soon in CS’s A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum.
A little black and white/color comparison there for ya.
We shot two separate evenings to get both the facial hair look as well as the clean shaven look.
Meet my lovely (and incredibly photogenic) cousin, Katie. We took these shots over Thanksgiving break–because she needed some new headshots for an upcoming audition. We had a lot of fun, and it was such a beautiful, mild day! Lots of sun! Enjoy some of the shots from the day below:
Personally, I think Autumn is the best time to have engagement pictures taken. Such beautiful crisp days with lush colors. This day was no exception. Bill and Jessica were such a pleasure to photograph! The table you see below, and the lovely commemorations on it were used on the actual engagement day, and I had the pleasure of documenting it for this shoot–such a great idea (Kudos, Bill)! Enjoy the selection from the album.
